Dryer Vent, Bathroom Exhaust Fan, A/C Returns, Refrigerator/Freezer and Heating Vent Cleaning
Now Offered
Grout Rescue CT is pleased to announce that we now offer vent cleaning! Whether you want your heating vents and duct work cleaned, you want your A/C returns cleaned, or you want your bathroom exhaust fan vents cleaned, we can do it all. Give us a call and we can help you breathe a little easier this season and help make your home a cleaner and healthier place.
Vents and returns collect dust preventing them from functioning at peak performance. Dust can build up and start to collect, providing a place for mold and mildew to grow. The vent, fan blades and the duct work needs to be cleaned regularly to allow peak performance of air flow. Grout Rescue CT has the proper tools and we can do the work for you.
Grout Rescue CT can also come in and clean the vent and duct work to your dryer. We will clean all the duct work that goes from the dryer to the wall, and through the wall to the outside vent. We also clean inside the dryer, beneath the filter screen and through the back of the dryer. A clean dryer filter, duct and vent will not only help your dryer work more efficiently, saving on drying time and electricity, if also helps prevent the possibility of a fire in the duct.

- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) estimates that 15,500 fires associated with clothes dryers occur annually. These fires account for an average of 10 deaths and 310 injuries and more than $84.4 million in property damage annually. (On a positive note, the number of clothes dryer fires has dropped by 35 percent from the 24,000 fires that occurred annually, on average, in the late 1970s.) With the proper maintenance and cleaning of your dryer, you too can help reduce the number of fires associated with cloths dryers.

UL's web site offers some tips on their web site http://www.safetyathome.com/home-safety/home-safety-articles/dryer-fires-and-how-to-prevent-them/:
What causes fires? One of the most common causes of dryer fires is lack of maintenance. When lint traps aren’t cleaned as often as they should be, the resulting build-up in the screen or other areas can cause the dryer to perform poorly, operate at elevated temperatures and possibly overheat – with dangerous consequences. Vent systems must also be checked and cleaned to maintain proper air flow for the same reasons. What can you do? An important safeguard your family can take is to ensure that your dryer has rigid or flexible metal venting and ducting materials to help sustain airflow. This will also reduce operating costs and extend the life of the dryer and clothing due to lower drying temperatures. Additionally:

A Note from one of our customers:
I had Grout Rescue CT clean out my dryer vent system because my neighbor had a dryer fire. I wanted to be sure there was no chance I was going to have a dryer fire in my home. It was such a dreadful experience for my friend.
They offered to clean out the vent system for my refrigerator while they were here. I shrugged and decided to let them do it. Figured it was probably a waste of time but ... Boy was I wrong. I don't pull off the grill and look behind it so I had no idea!
I was amazed at the amount of dust that was blocking the vents to the refrigeration system. And was I embarrassed at how dirty it was. I thought I kept my floors pretty clean. I swear the refrigerator/freezer has super suction and pulls up all the dust bunnies in the house. It was just GROSS and I'm sure the refrigerator was operating below efficiency. If I hadn't looked I would not have believed it! I'm glad I had this done. Might actually make a difference on the electric bill!
